Yesterday an article from MIT popped up on my phone. It is related to my dream that I shared in our circle (My Left Foot And My Right Hand). That dream has a shoe being constructed on my left foot, which I connected to my brain, my left temporal lobe. The shoe feels like it is made of Legos.
The MIT story also connects Legos to the brain. They identify clusters of neurons in the prefrontal cortex that create modularity, functions with little difficulty. Like “cognitive Legos,” these building blocks flexibly combine, generating new behaviors:
