I share a bedroom with three others. They are all sleeping on their own beds. A woman arrives with a toddler, whose face I do not see. I think it is a girl. The child seems to have come from an orphanage, or some kind of non-profit where kids have lost their families through war or other horrible global events. Many of those children have serious health issues. This one too. I am the caregiver. I lay the toddler down on a small, single bed. But the other sleepers make too much noise, and I need to move her to a different room.
