(Monday, August 12, 2024) first quarter moon Scorpio / Queen of Pentacles tarot
I stand at the top of a sloping river bank and tumble down the grassy hill. The soft, brown sand is deep. My feet sink in several inches, but I keep heading to the river’s edge. Very pleasant.
When I reach the bottom, I see the opening of a cave and I turn right to head inside. Once into the underground, I see that the cave is an ancestral residence that is shaped like a long, long tunnel. Never-ending.
Immediately I notice that this was the home of a man from the fifteenth century. Nothing is new. Some of the house elements are from the original builder, but many others are from other time periods. The furniture, artwork and decor span hundreds of years.
At first I am the only inspector of the underground structure, but others enter the space and wander about, checking out the history. I keep moving forward, from room to room to room.
Day notes:
I got an email last week from my cousin Pat Murphy’s daughter Bridget. A Sheehan family reunion is planned for next year in Kellogg, Minnesota. The Sheehans moved from County Cork to Minneiska in the 1850s, during the potato famine. I have been working successfully on finding more names and dates on Ancestry. I love doing that. My favorite ancestor name is “Experience Bliss” (1649-1721).
This weekend Cullan, Hillary, Wyn and Oona visited the cave in Jordan that sits below an old brewery, along the Minnesota River bank.
Tuesday, August 13: Today I received a message via Ancestry from a distant relative named Judy, related to my grandmother Cermak’s ancestors from Bohemia.

What a lovely dream. You are so in tune with your ancestry lineage.
