I am at Sheila and Rob’s house for the Superbowl. (sister and brother-in-law). There are about 4-6 other people there. We are all young. We all hang out by the side of the pool. There are two or three big screen TV’s by the pool’s edge. I say how fun to watch t.v. when in the pool. I go to the bathroom which is very small with just a toilet in the space and then return to the others. I am attracted to one of the guys.

I then go and explore. I see a pond with an outcropping in the distance, I walk to the left along the shore to get to it. I climb up it. It is made of old lava that has cooled. I am enjoying myself. I then go back to the group. I see an old t.v. set up for all of us to watch the game.

The highpoint is the outcropping. The nature of the pond and outcropping is very beautiful. It feels adventurous to go and explore.

I am in a three way relationship: two guys and me. We are all in our 20’s. One of the guys is controlling. I feel he is coming on to me sexually. I start playing his game. There are a group of stuffed animals in a pile. I ask him which one he identifies with. He is a bit resistant. He says a name of one of the animals I do not recognize. It’s a smaller mammal. I start asking him questions about the animal’s characteristics. He seems a bit annoyed. He doesn’t like not being in control.

Next scene: I am up on a cliff looking down on a beach on an ocean. I see a large, white umbrella open and float down to the sand. It is with a woman I know. (not in waking life). I want to take a photo of her under the umbrella which is make of white lace. When I am on the beach the beach turns into an outdoor fair with lots of people. They come and go and I have to ask them to leave so they will not be in the photo. There is a bed by the umbrella at first that belongs to my friend, Joyce, who is out late. I put things away from the scene of where I want the photo so they will not be distractors. I then figure out how to use my flash. A man comes and tries to tell me how to take the photo. I say I do not need his advice. He keeps trying to give me advice. I more strongly tell him no and to leave. It takes a while for him to go. I want my friend to stand by the pole. I am just about to take the photo when I wake up.

This dream and the one about the mother and son invading our house seem to be about having strong boundaries.

Paul and I move into a new house that shares a common wall with the neighbors. We are young and have young kids. The garages of the two houses are not separated by a wall. The mother and son from next door are very invasive and keep coming into our home without knocking or being invited. At first we are in shock and don’t know what to say. Then I get very direct: “Get out of our house!” However, they keep coming back. We decide to build a wall between the garages. One time they give our young daughter two kittens without asking us. I also have my old cat, Mittens. There is a father next door, but he does not come over. At the end of the dream, the mother is in our house talking to one of our kids and it doesn’t bother me as much.
