During my first night in Glastonbury (my 60th birthday) I dreamt of a black wolf running through my ancestral field. A few dreams later, he turned into a quiet, loving black dog. Recently I discovered that a black wolf/dog has been a mythological British beast since 1120. The church I visited with Rupert Sheldrake was that old. Most of the black wolves/dogs are menacing, like Sherlock’s Hound of the Baskerville. But the myth near Somerset (close to Glastonbury) is about a peaceful canine. Two years after I had been in England, my uncle provided me with family tree information. An ancestor from the 15th century had a mansion near Somerset and lived to be 100! I visited our ancestral land, but did not know it at the time.
