Royal Blue

(Friday, August 3, 2018) moon third quarter Taurus / tarot Dreamer reversed

I dream of my grandmother’s farmhouse. I am in the kitchen with other family members. The room is at its usual level of busyness. Maybe a meal is being prepared.

I open the door and step out into the front porch. The furniture has changed completely from what was stored there during my childhood. Very large, modern, armless leather chairs fill the L-shaped area. They are a surprisingly vibrant royal blue. The floor rugs match exactly.

I walk outside, down the long sidewalk to the wire fence that borders the perfectly square yard. I open the gate and step into the prairie-sand driveway, turning back and looking in astonishment at the fence. It is a modern chain-link fence, not the old depression-era wire fence that was put up to keep out the chickens. One quarter of the fence, the section at the front of the yard, the gateway, is brilliant royal blue.

Day notes:

During the dream and after awakening I am transfixed by the vivid intensity of the royal blue. I love blue, but it is not a color I choose for interiors. I bought two leather chairs for Chris only because Lola doesn’t use them to sharpen her claws.

Cullan’s bridegroom jacket was royal blue. Hillary changed her last name to Luther. L-shaped? Royal wedding?

I walk through two doors and one gate. Three passageways.
