(Friday, April 24, 2014) Easter morning Chris, his sister Kathy and I were sitting on the patio at Caribou in Northbrook, Illinois, their hometown. A long line of cars crept past. “They must be coming from mass at St. Norbert’s,” said Kathy.
Lapsed Catholic that I am, I didn’t recognize the name of the saint. On Wednesday my Dreamtime magazine arrived in the mail and I read that in 2016 the IASD conference will again be held in Kerkrade, Netherlands. I googled “crypt at Rolduc Abbey” and discovered a few interesting things. First is that the crypt holds an altar where St. Norbert celebrated mass shortly after the cathedral was built (1111). One of the stained glass windows illustrates a strange “miracle” that occurred:

St. Norbert is a kind of Pauline character. The hooves of his horse were struck by lightning, throwing him to the ground where he remained unconscious for an hour. He became extremely devout following this divine wake-up call.
According to Wikipedia: “Going to Cologne to obtain relics for their church, Norbert is said to have discovered, through a dream, the spot where those of Saint Ursula and her companions, of Saint Gereon, and of other martyrs lay hidden.”
The other thing I discovered on Bobbie Ann Pimm’s website is that a group of people gave a presentation in 2012 about the odd happenings at the 2011 dream conference at the Abbey. I’ve been thinking about contacting her about this. Especially since I had the dream about Bob Van De Castle as he passed. His website says that they are collecting dreams about him. “Many people that knew Dr. Van de Castle are reporting dreams ABOUT or WITH him since his passing.” So I may post my Bob dream …
Good idea about posting your Bob dream. I think the Abbey likes you. There is a strong draw.
