Paul and I plan to go to college for the summer semester. I am with a couple of women and we are in a car. (I don’t know who is driving). We see Jeanne G. on the street by the college. She joins us. I am looking for a place to rent for Paul and I. I see a fancy place close by the campus but know it would be too expensive. We stop at a cafe and I ask the owner about a place to rent. He rents apartments. He gets on his scooter to show me one. The other women take a while to come to the car. The apartment is up a few flights of stairs. Two guys live there right now. They leave. The apartment is old and does not have a dishwasher. I open the curtains. It has a nice view. I can see the campus on the left and the ocean in the front. The ocean is pretty far away and there are industrial type buildings between the apartment and the ocean.

This reminds me of the change my cousin Tom and his wife Gretchen made after his cancer diagnosis. They owned a gorgeous house they built on 40 acres in the woods and on a large pond. They sold it and moved to an apartment in Duluth so they could both be closer to medical care at their ages. They have a great view of Lake Superior. Fortunately his cancer is in remission. If this were my dream!
