(Saturday, August 10, 2019) moon waxing gibbous Sagittarius / tarot five of wands
My universal self and my dream self knock on the door of my family’s old log cabin in Wahkon. My mother answers and lets us in. It’s a two bedroom cabin, as it was in my childhood. The interior lighting is dim: that’s how traditional log cabins are. The rafters and walls are dark old timbers. The floor is wood. The dream door is on the west side, not the south side as it was in physical reality. I don’t see Lake Mille Lacs or the forests or any other cottages. This lodge is definitely suspended in dreamtime.
My dream self looks quickly at the small, comfortable living room on the right and moves ahead to the far bedroom, on my left. My universal self hovers overhead, following. I have work to do in the sleeping chamber.
Day notes:
Dreams since returning from British Columbia have shifted. They have a consistent “higher self” perspective. Atman: self is the subject which perceives. I’m in the the thick of the dream, yes, but the prominent experience is viewing myself in the dream story. I have had quite a few of these in the past. I love them.
My last dream before Jill’s retreat was in a room with walls, floors and a ceiling of wood. The actual round house we met in at Hollyhock in BC had a fully wooden structure: walls, floors, ceiling. For me this is about family tree and the tree of life.
