I am with Paul. We are waiting in a line to order breakfast at a restaurant. The line keeps shifting and people get in front of us in line. I speak up and tell them they “budded’ in line. We get up to the counter to order. A number one is pancakes and a number three is eggs. The woman who takes the order is friendly and says something about the numbers one and three and her birth date. Paul orders pancakes and I order eggs. There is a group walk and Paul and I say we want to join the walk.
Paul and I go outside. I wash and knead my white, long-sleeved T-shirt. I do lots of kneading. I am thinking about Kevin and Antonia. I say to Kevin in my head, “I can’t tell you what to do.” In waking life he said that he had to earn back Antonia’s trust. And it was implied that this had to happen before Paul and I can renew a relationship with the grandsons.
I then decide to lay the T-shirt on the ground on the cement to dry so I can wear it on the hike. I go inside to find out when the hike starts.
The T-shirt is quite beautiful with the sun reflecting off of the glass pieces.
