1/20/24 A Ritual

I see Bob Hanson dressed up like an indigenous male with dark red paint on his face and a small headdress. He is on stilts so he is even taller than he is (6.7). He is walking around this house. Renee, his estranged wife, is there also. She is dressed somewhat similarly and is on shorter stilts. (she is also a very tall person). The three of us open a small container and there is a handmade symbol of a god. The message is for us to go up on this roof.

The scene changes. I am now with Renee (no costume). We are in Japan. We go into this building that has five or six stories. It is on a lake or the ocean. We see lots of people swimming in the ocean. We go inside the building and sneak around, finding stairs to go up. The building is also a hotel. We go up a flight of stairs and end up in a line that is going into the dining room. We then find another set of stairs and go up to a higher level. Now we are in a large, open room that feels like a mechanical room. We see these concrete stairs and go up and up and we end up on the roof. The roof is small and shaped like a T. It has black tar paper on it.

A person dressed up similar to Bob gives something to Renee to take somewhere. There is a woman sunbathing on the roof. Somehow we get down to the ground. I help someone out by swimming. (this part is vague) I viscerally feel myself swimming. The water is a comfortable temperature. I feel strong and positive.

1/5/24 Prostitute at a County Fair

I am a prostitute at a county fair. I lay on this “bed” in the middle of the fair. A man, someone’s uncle, comes and lays on top of me. He is on top with his clothes on. I have clothes on as well. He goes away and then comes back. Again, he lays with me. We talk and find out we like each other. His wife is dead.

I go with this man and meet his two sons. One is about 7-8 years old and the other about 10-11 years old. We all get into the front seat of his large truck. I talk with the boys and really enjoy our interaction. The man is a farmer. We get to his house. He has a housekeeper. The man and I talk about how I might fit in. I know I do not want to take on all the house chores.

The last scene is where we are at the house I grew up in. It looks like it does now-renovated by my sister and brother-in-law who live there.

Day notes: I watched Princess Grace last night on T.V.

Susanne: I like the positive vibe of the dream you shared. You are like a mother goddess distributing fertility and sex and discovering love in the process. (Empress Tarot card). The man is a farmer, also a symbol of mother earth. I like how children play a role in the story. New projects and adventures to nurture. The last scene brings me back to the house I grew up in; the happiness but also the pain I have experienced there are ready to be explored. Maybe a new perspective and a forgiveness for yourself.

1/3/23 Canoeing and the Cabin

I don’t know if these are two separate dreams, but I put them together.

I am canoeing on a large lake. I start to go back to where I canoed from. I pass another boat. I talk to the guy in the boat. He tells me about a cabin for sale that is located in the other direction. I turn the canoe around and paddle in that direction eager to see the cabin.

I am in a small cabin. It belongs to a sister who I am with (not waking life sister). The cabin is very cozy. There is a small group of guys and girls in their 20’s who want to stay at the cabin. They keep pestering us. And we keep saying no.

Last scene: The group are settling into the basement bedroom which is a good size. One person is getting a crib ready for breastfeeding my baby. I tell him I will not be breastfeeding my baby in the crib, but will be holding the baby outside of the crib. Initially, I did not trust them. Now, however, I start to when they are settling into the basement.
