There is a ship close to the pier. Kids are jumping off from the side of the ship and swimming to the dock. The side of the ship has these small platforms and holes to jump from. The ship is an “industrial” ship-looks rusty. Other adults and I help the kids onto the dock. The water is very cold. I help a 10-12 year old girl up. She has eight books with her. I read them to her. I read them a few times. Both of us are then tired of them.

I walk about four or five blocks away from where the girl is sitting. I look around and see she has jumped back into the water. I get nervous. It is too cold to stay in the water for long. I hurry back. I cannot move very fast (I am my age now-73). However, I do get there on time.

Ideas: Saving my younger self? Tired of books= tired of my old stories? I save myself twice. The water is cold. Cold feelings?

I am taking a bath with my sister (not w.l.) We are in a bathroom down the hall from the usual bathroom. I run the water. it is not hot enough so I empty some from the tub and run more hot water. The tub and fixtures are a deep brown-maybe made of bronze. I don’t remember getting in the tub. Later, someone has a photo of the door and a bit of the tub where we bathed. We are not visible in the photo. It is like we are being accused of something.

Feelings: Loved the bath, uncomfortable with the photo.

Day notes: I am rereading Machiel’s book before bed. I am not incubating any dreams yet, but just reading the book helps me to remember dreams.

These two sisters have come to town. They want to buy this property and turn it into a hotel. A group of people and I are not sure we can trust them. We sit at a long table for a meal in a public place. A guy has gone to the airport to pick up the sisters. They arrive and they sit next to me. I am at the end of the table and they are to my left. I say hello. I tell the one sister I remember her from last year. She is surprised. She stands up and makes a toast saying she wants us to get to know them and trust they will carry through and do a good job.
