(Memorial Day, 2026)
A kind, funny woman named Michelle, who has a PhD from Northwestern, was the guide for my PPA study. She went to the U of M for a while and loved Minneapolis so much she intended to stay for the rest of her life. But she met her partner, whose family home is Chicago, and she moved back to The Windy City. They bought a house in a neighborhood that felt like Minneapolis. She also attended Rush University, where The Mind Diet began. She has been focused on PPA for more than a decade. I hope to stay in contact with Michelle for many years.
I was overjoyed to be back in Chicago. Downtown is beautiful and full of friendly people from all over the world. Hearing English is a bit rare. This was the first time I had noticed Chris call Chicago “The Emerald City.” When I drove along Lake Michigan to meet with my friend Anne, the lake absolutely was emerald green.
I am glad you ennjoyed “Emerald City”. Dorthy’s destination.
