A man agrees to eat this bug for $1200. He gets the money, but runs away. I am with him. We are on foot. We take back roads to avoid getting caught. We avoid capture for a year.

Now I am an observer. There is a woman who does eat the bug and has papers to prove it. She is safe and her parents are relieved. The man eventually does get caught and is made to eat the bug. He eats it and it is not so bad! The man and woman start a business. It is called The Red Bug. (the bug that was eaten was grey like in the previous dream).

A scene where I am staying at a woman’s house. She is in trouble. An elephant is let loose in her house and destroys things. We (?) are staying with her and witness this.

Some ideas on elephants: They can stand for wisdom. They also represent family bonds, staying in touch with family as well as accepting family members. To find solutions to problems and persevere. Look at the big picture. Self individuation and transformation. I also thought about the expression: An elephant in the room.

This is what I wrote: The bug dream about the woman and myself having the grey beetle and black bug on our backs and us freaking out seems to represent having something that is bugging me. But when it is investigated, there is nothing there. So, is it real?

The second bug dream where the man takes the money, but then runs away from eating the bug, may represent my inner male doing something unethical or it could represent Kevin? Taking the money represents taking something valuable, but not following through with a promise. My dream ego is going along with him and after a year, he is captured and made to eat the bug. It is not so bad. The woman did follow through. Together they start a business, So, the masculine and feminine are aligned-“wholeness”. This seems like a positive resolution. So, it could be saying that this rift between Kevin and I will be healed? Or, I need to accept what is bugging Kevin and not take it personally and act so defensively?

The two elephant dreams represent my inner conflict related to Kevin cutting me off. Laying down verse destroying. This seems to represent my two inner selves: one that is compassionate and understanding and one that is angry and wants to “destroy”.

1. I see a large (3 inch) grey, “armored” bug on the window sill. I think it is dead. A woman friend comes. Somehow the large bug and another black bug get on her back. She freaks out and jumps around trying to get them off. Then they are on my back and I jump around trying to get them off. Neither of us actually see the bugs on our backs. Eventually, I ask the friend to look at my back. It is not there!

2. I talk to Deb on the phone and tell her my dad and some younger guys are going to the cabin. I want to know if she wants to go. Dad then picks up the phone and talks with Deb. We are at Shady Oak.

3. A young woman takes care of an elephant. The woman lays down on the street. This allows the elephant to also lay down on the street.

A group of us put a bomb in a machine outdoors. It goes off but does not destroy the part of the machine we intended. We go back inside this building and lock the door. The door can open and close on either side. The right side (from inside) locks ok. The left side doesn’t. A couple from the outside start to open the door and we have to re-lock it.

Feeling: a bit nervous, but really more excited.
